Moving day is here.
The closets are full of skeletons and all that baggage, so I'm taking off!
I'm outta here!
Anyone want to come with me?

Get drunk and take pictures!
Ever look at a photo and say "WTF?!"? It seems alcohol makes your camera take some really funky shot that you can only truly relive by having another drink!
Here is your chance to experience it for yourself. Whether your on flickr or have a blog (perhaps both), there is a meet-up at The Highlander Wednesday night. Time is 7:30 pm. I have been informed via Mingaling that they have wi-fi.
Bring those cameras, bring your laptop, bring you liver (or what's left of it) and come see everyone for a fun night out!
Here are some pictures from prior flickr & blogger meet-ups:

Fun Filled Weekend, so far!
Finally! After what seems like a solid month of rain, the clouds broke and the sun came out. The day started with a visit to Atlanta Botanical Gardens to see the Locomotion exhibit. Overall, the gardens are beautiful. The locomotion exhibit seemed small upon initial impression, but once we started looking at the details of the exhibit, it was quite interesting. Many local landmarks were created in miniature using plant materials. Turner field was quite interesting. The picture is below:

After looking at the exhibit, we headed indoors to see the orchids. My favorite is this one:

The day was finished out at the Virginia Highlands Summerfest. Lots of people. Lots of art. Lots of food. Lots of beer. The crowd was a bit tedious at times, but manageable for the most part. Many of the artist I had seen at the Decatur Arts Festival a week before.
Tomorrow is the Roswell Photo Stroll. We are expecting a big crowd and I hope to have some neat pictures to post.

Dieting

In the past three days I've had the worst food imaginable.
Tuesday - no food until dinner: Red Bull and a package of cookie dough.
Wednesday - no food until dinner: Chicken Quesadilla, cheese dip and a beer at La Fonda
Then more beer and a breadstick at Rocky Mountain Pizza
Today - no food until lunch: a double Whopper with extra cheese, large fries and coke.
Snack time was peanut butter cups and another coke.
Finally as I write this, I'm enjoying an ice cold Barq's root beer.
Without putting myself on a schedule, or limiting myself to a specific start date, I've decided that soon it will be time to consider changing my dietary habits. Soon I will have a need for things like fiber, protein, generally good nutrition and exercise. So, with that said at some point I will start. I've heard of the boot camp option, I've heard of healthy eating, even meal planners that give you a complete shopping list, recipes and pointers on a well balanced diet/exercise plan.
I'm tossing these ideas around not to lose weight (I've been told by a professional that I need to gain about 10 lbs to be at an ideal weight), in the interest of bettering myself for a healthy, happy outlook on life in general. You can't feel good unless you feel good about yourself kinda thing.
If anyone out there in netville has any suggestions, or experiences, I'd love to hear them. My habits need a change for the better.
